I have always been a creative person, even as a child. I would always be drawing, painting or decoupaging something, much to my parents dismay. I have been a Makeup artist for the last 20+ years, COVID-19 gave me the opportunity to explore a different side of my artistry skills. I have a deep appreciation of facial structure, skin tones and textures and I am now showcasing that love in the styles of the artwork I create.
I am first generation Canadian, born and raised in Ontario. As such, I had a unique upbringing with both Pakistani/Indian and Canadian cultures being a huge part of the fabric of my life. Sometimes, it was a struggle to find myself within those boundaries.
My mediums of choice are digital, painting and graphite sketching. I focus on portraits mostly with an emphasis on ethnicities of the world and South Asian culture, specifically.
